Like any other community, the Muslim community struggles with issues of abuse, domestic violence, mental health, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Even in the safest spaces, it takes a lot of courage for victims to report abuse. Muslims also deal with the additional challenge of Islamophobia that prevents many of them from seeking the help they deserve and need. This causes many Muslims to underreport their needs, and to rely on coping mechanisms that are unsustainable and often harmful for the community at large.
